Strategic Wealth Designers (SWD) was founded in Louisville, KY by Matthew Dicken in 2002 with the goal of helping retirees and pre-retirees secure their financial future. Our “safer money” approach to investing coupled with a track record of success have created a formula for tremendous growth.

We were proud to have served our local community for so many years, but it became apparent that we needed to significantly increase our scope in order to help more people. In 2016, we started expanding into several new markets and now have offices in 10 states and clients throughout the United States. Over the years, this has given us the opportunity to assist over 5000 individuals and families with their retirement and financial planning needs.

SWD subscribes to a couple of simple yet unconventional principles when it comes to our client relationships — education and honesty. Our goal is to distill complex financial concepts into simple ideas and language to help our clients make the best financial decisions for themselves and their families. Coupled with transparent conversation when we see mistakes being made or if we believe we can’t add value to a someone’s situation, our philosophy is tested and proven to be successful over many years and geographies. The same guiding principles are applied to every client relationship. This method assures best practices for our clients with the results being consistency, peace of mind and the opportunity to have an exciting and secure retirement.
