Cindy is always looking for ways to help the team at Strategic Wealth Designers work smarter, not harder, so they can have a bigger impact on the families they serve. Even though she doesn’t work directly with families, she’s committed to supporting her colleagues behind the scenes.

Before joining SWD, Cindy spent 17 years running her own successful retail business. She has also worked in public accounting as an auditor and has held several CFO/controller roles. Cindy was drawn to the industry by the rewarding feeling of helping families secure their retirement.

Cindy graduated from Marshall University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting. She is a licensed CPA in Texas and holds Series 6 and 63 securities licenses.

A proud empty nester, Cindy lives in the beautiful Texas Hill Country with her husband, Matt. They have two grown children, Christopher and Laura, and three grandchildren. They’re also proud pet parents to two Australian shepherds, Whiskey and Bailey. They adopted both as seniors and were not responsible for them being named after alcoholic beverages.

When she’s not working, Cindy loves enjoying the outdoors (before the temperatures rise into the 100s), hanging out with her husband and dogs, and spending quality time with friends and family. She also loves going on cycling vacations — she and Matt have even done a couple of bike/barge cycling trips in Europe.
