Fueled by his passion for guiding clients toward financial confidence, James enjoys helping others and believes no financial strategy is complete without tax planning as a key component.

With his background as a CPA, employer and entrepreneur, James brings a unique perspective to his role at Strategic Wealth Designers. His career journey includes the formation of four businesses, including one that remains in operation in Maryland, and he uses that knowledge and experience to help lead clients to financial confidence.

Having passed his Series 7 and 66 securities exams and also obtained his life, health and variable annuity insurance licenses, James can offer both investment and insurance products and services. In addition to being a CPA, he also is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.

James obtained his Master of Business Administration degree from Mount St. Mary’s University and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Richmond before earning his CFP® and CPA designations.

Outside of work, James leads a joyful life with his wife, Diane. A resident of Fisherville, Kentucky, and devout Catholic, James also is a proud stepfather, step-grandfather, pet dad to Sheldon the family cat, and longtime fan of the Baltimore Orioles.
